Handed her first camera at the age of six, Ellie followed her father’s life-long interest in photography, finally putting together a career as a professional photographer when she retired from teaching reading in 1994. She has had her photos published in major magazines  including Welkom  (the on-board magazine of Holland America Line),  Porthole Magazine, City Smart, ELLE DECOR, and Family Circle; in newspapers - The Philadelphia Inquirer, New York Daily News, Newark Star Ledger, The Boston Globe, Arlington Daily Herald, The Toronto Star, Copley news, and local Vermont newspapers; books - Arcadia Publishings’ Images of America Series - The Mad River Valley and Skiing in the Mad River Valley; and January in the Hancomm, Seuol, Korea, 2008 Calendar, “Beautiful Bridges of the World”. Ellie lives in a 150-year-old Greek Revival home in Moretown, Vt.
